Bodyweight Side Lying Biceps Curl

Lie on your side with your legs straight and stacked on top of each other. Bend your bottom arm at the elbow, placing your forearm on the floor in front of your chest. Keep your top arm straight and extended along the floor. Slowly curl your top arm upwards towards your shoulder, contracting your biceps. Pause briefly at the top of the movement, then slowly lower your arm back down to the starting position. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, then switch sides and perform the exercise with the opposite arm.

  • Move with intent — every rep should feel deliberate, not rushed.
  • Drive force through your biceps rather than momentum.
  • Keep your breathing steady: exhale on the hard part, inhale on the reset.

Common mistakes

  • Using too much weight and losing positional control.
  • Cutting the range of motion short and missing the target muscle.
