Cable One Arm Decline Chest Fly

Stand beside a cable machine with the pulley set at the lowest position. Grab the handle with one hand, palm facing forward. Step forward and away from the machine, creating tension on the cable. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent, and maintain a slight forward lean. Keeping your core engaged and chest up, exhale and extend your arm straight out to the side until it is parallel to the ground. Inhale and slowly return your arm back to the starting position. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions and then switch to the other arm.

  2. Brace and execute. Brace your core, control the descent, and move through a full pain-free range of motion while emphasizing your pectoralis major.

  • Drive force through your pectoralis major rather than momentum.
  • Keep your breathing steady: exhale on the hard part, inhale on the reset.

Common mistakes
