BicepsCableBeginner
Sit on a preacher curl bench facing away from the cable machine. Adjust the cable pulley to a low position. Grasp the cable handle with your palm facing down. Keep your upper arm against the preacher bench pad. Exhale and curl your arm up towards your shoulder while keeping your upper arm stationary. Inhale and slowly lower the cable handle back to the starting position. Repeat for the recommended number of repetitions and then switch to the other arm.

  • Drive force through your biceps rather than momentum.
  • Keep your breathing steady: exhale on the hard part, inhale on the reset.

Common mistakes

  • Using too much weight and losing positional control.
  • Cutting the range of motion short and missing the target muscle.
