Dumbbell Side Lunge with Shoulder Press

Perform a side lunge while holding a dumbbell in one hand. As you lunge to the side, lower your body and keep the opposite leg straight.

Push off the lunging leg to return to standing while pressing the dumbbell overhead with the same arm.

  1. Stand with feet hip-width apart, holding a dumbbell in your right hand.
  2. Lunge to the left, bending your left knee and keeping your right leg straight.
  3. As you lunge, press the dumbbell overhead with your right arm.
  4. Return to standing by pushing off your left foot and lowering the dumbbell back to your side.
