Intermediate Hip Flexor And Quad Stretch

Start in a lunge position with your right foot forward and your left knee resting on the ground. Keep your upper body tall and core engaged. Slowly shift your weight forward, pressing your right knee further out in front until you feel a stretch in your left hip flexor and quad. Hold the stretch for 20-30 seconds while maintaining a steady breath. To deepen the stretch, you can raise your left arm overhead and gently lean towards your right side. Release the stretch by gently stepping your right foot back and returning to a standing position. Repeat on the other side, switching your left foot forward and right knee resting on the ground.

How to perform the Intermediate Hip Flexor And Quad Stretch

  1. Set up. Set up in a stable, balanced starting position appropriate for the Intermediate Hip Flexor And Quad Stretch using your rope.
  2. Brace and execute. Brace your core, control the descent, and move through a full pain-free range of motion while emphasizing your quadriceps.
  3. Reset. Reverse the movement under control and reset between repetitions, keeping your form crisp on every rep.

Coaching cues

  • Move with intent — every rep should feel deliberate, not rushed.
  • Drive force through your quadriceps rather than momentum.
  • Keep your breathing steady: exhale on the hard part, inhale on the reset.

Common mistakes

  • Using too much weight and losing positional control.
  • Cutting the range of motion short and missing the target muscle.
  • Letting your spine round or hyperextend instead of staying neutral.
