Lever Seated Leg Curl

Sit on the lever seated leg curl machine with your back against the backrest and adjust the leg pad to align with your lower leg. Place your legs under the leg pad with the pads resting on the top of your calves. Grasp the handles on the machine for stability. Keeping your core engaged and back straight, exhale as you contract your hamstrings to curl the lever down toward your glutes. Inhale as you slowly lower the lever back to the starting position, extending your legs without fully locking out your knees. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.

How to perform the Lever Seated Leg Curl

  1. Set up. Set up in a stable, balanced starting position appropriate for the Lever Seated Leg Curl using your leverage machine.
  2. Brace and execute. Brace your core, control the descent, and move through a full pain-free range of motion while emphasizing your hamstrings.
  3. Reset. Reverse the movement under control and reset between repetitions, keeping your form crisp on every rep.

Coaching cues

  • Move with intent — every rep should feel deliberate, not rushed.
  • Drive force through your hamstrings rather than momentum.
  • Keep your breathing steady: exhale on the hard part, inhale on the reset.

Common mistakes

  • Using too much weight and losing positional control.
  • Cutting the range of motion short and missing the target muscle.
  • Letting your spine round or hyperextend instead of staying neutral.
