Lever Seated Squat

The Lever Seated Squat targets your lower body muscles, particularly the quadriceps and glutes. This exercise is performed using a lever machine designed for seated squats.

  1. Adjust the seat height and weight on the lever machine.
  2. Sit down with your back against the pad and feet positioned on the platform.
  3. Engage your core and lower your body into a squat position.
  4. Push through your heels to return to the starting position.

How to perform the Lever Seated Squat

  1. Set up. Set up in a stable, balanced starting position appropriate for the Lever Seated Squat using your leverage machine.
  2. Brace and execute. Brace your core, control the descent, and move through a full pain-free range of motion while emphasizing your quadriceps.
  3. Reset. Reverse the movement under control and reset between repetitions, keeping your form crisp on every rep.

Coaching cues

  • Move with intent — every rep should feel deliberate, not rushed.
  • Drive force through your quadriceps rather than momentum.
  • Keep your breathing steady: exhale on the hard part, inhale on the reset.

Common mistakes

  • Using too much weight and losing positional control.
  • Cutting the range of motion short and missing the target muscle.
  • Letting your spine round or hyperextend instead of staying neutral.
