Begin in a standing position with your feet hip-width apart. Step forward with your right foot into a lunge position, keeping your knee aligned over your ankle.

Lower your hips until both knees are bent at about a 90-degree angle. Hold this position briefly, then push off your right foot to return to the starting position.
